About Us

History and Mission

In the election of 2008 Travel for Change sent about 400 volunteers to swing states to work for the Barack Obama campaign, using over 11,000,000 airline miles. Now, Travel for Change is continuing to travel. We are working with the No on Question 1 campaign to send volunteers to Maine to work for marriage equality. In addition to raising funds and airline miles, our team of 12 volunteer travel coordinators are:

  • guiding Volunteer Vacationers through the travel process,
  • matching them with other travelers to share cars and rooms and
  • helping to make sure their skill set finds the right place in the No on 1 campaign.
